Premise:  

A malfunctioning robot is forced to save the world when the strongest combat robots become infected with a virus.  Based on the upcoming video game of the same name.

 

Background:

 The first trailer for the upcoming cartoon for the based on the Mega Man creator's next video game, Mighty No. 9.   The trailer was released by Mega Man creator, Keiji Inafune, at LA's AnimeExpo 2014.  The show is being produced by renowned Japanese CG animation house, Digital Frontier (Appleseed, Wolf Children), and is the first original English language project from the studio.

 

This teaser received 200,000+ views in its first week and was picked up on major game sites IGN, Polygon, Gamespot, Kotaku and others.
